Forecaster and founder

Hilde Roothart (1966) studied fashion design at the Academy of Arts in Utrecht. She gained experience as a forecaster at the studios of Dominique Peclers and Lidewij Edelkoort in Paris. Back in Holland she worked at the styling and design studios of Günther Frank and Milou Ket. In 1997 Hilde Roothart established Trendslator, a trend studio that researches changes and developments and translates trends into strategies and concepts. She is the author of three books and writes about trends for several magazines. Roothart is a regular speaker for seminars and meetings on trends and innovation.
